We are often asked about which merchant accounts Memberium supports, as prospective clients consider using Memberium for their Infusionsoft membership site needs.
Memberium and eCommerce
Memberium itself does not directly use your ecommerce data, and does not communicate with any merchant accounts. Memberium controls access through your contact’s tags. By not using merchant accounts directly, we make the system more flexible to work with any process, including free accounts and 3rd party ecommerce systems. Any system that will apply a tag can be used to turn on or off membership levels. In normal Infusionsoft use, purchase actions and billing triggers are used to add and remove tags when payments succeed or fail.
When using supported Infusionsoft payment providers, Memberium does provide invoice and subscription management controls that go through Infusionsoft’s existing systems in order to operate. If you choose to use a 3rd party ecommerce system or payment provider, then these functions will not work with orders generated through those systems.
eCommerce Through Infusionsoft by Keap
In Infusionsoft, you can setup triggers so that tags are applied when a purchase happens. The simple form of the answer is that Memberium works hand-in-hand with Infusionsoft’s built-in eCommerce capabilities, and that any merchant account or payment system supported by Infusionsoft can also be used with Memberium. This also leverages Infusionsoft’s PCI security to ensure that your clients’ credit cards are securely and safely managed.

Unsupported Merchant Accounts
It is currently unlikely that Infusionsoft will add any new payment processors to their list of supported services. If your current merchant account or payment gateway is not supported, then you may want to consider Nexus Merchants (formerly StripeyFuse).
Nexus Merchants, provide a Universal Payment Hub that can integrate with multiple payment gateways and merchant accounts. If your preferred merchant account or gateway is not currently supported by Infusionsoft, one of those merchants may be able to provide you with a solution. When using Nexus Merchants, you can process payments using any method (order forms, actionsets, shopping cart, and manual orders). It will also handle auto-charges for subscription or payment plans. When a customer submits payment through the merchant account, they never leave your company website – Nexus Merchants simply processes payments on the back end.
As of 1st December, 2020, Infusionsoft no longer supports below payment processors. You can find more details on this here. Any payments running through any of these processors will fail:

3rd Party eCommerce Systems
Some Infusionsoft users opt for 3rd party ecommerce systems to handle their order process.
ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels supports Stripe and Infusionsoft. You can read more here about Memberium and ClickFunnels.
Revenue Conduit
Revenue Conduit is the leading marketing system for small online retailers, designed to help you automatically convert more visitors into customers and more customers into customers for life. Revenue Conduit ties the major shopping cart systems into your Infusionsoft app, including Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce.
SamCart
SamCart supports Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, BrainTree, EasyPayDirect, and NMI. Click the link to learn more about Memberium and Samcart.
Spiffy
Spiffy isn’t truly a 3rd party system since it actually integrates with Infusionsoft to provide you with beautifully designed order forms. All the payment processing is still done on Infusionsoft by Keap’s end. We strongly recommend Spiffy if you’re in need of better order forms or mobile responsive forms.
WooCommerce
Some clients also use WooCommerce which supports a variety of payment processors. We provide direct integration between WooCommerce and Infusionsoft: Read through our integration guide.
Native Memberium eCommerce Functions
Memberium does provide a handful of ecommerce functions, which are provided through Infusionsoft’s API:
- One Click and Automated Orders
- Add new Credit Card to file
- Update Existing Credit Card on file
- Cancel Subscription
- Pay Late Invoice
