An Inside Look at Memberium’s New Page Templates and 24 Membership Site Page Examples

We’re happy to release a new set of 24 “plug and play” page templates built with Elementor that make it easier and faster for anyone to build and launch a membership site or online course with Memberium.

Article Updated (2/23/21): We now have this same set of templates available for Beaver Builder and Gutenberg. There are some slight visual differences between these different builders compared to the Elementor versions of the pages.

All membership sites have a common set of pages that it needs to be able to work as a “membership site”.

Members need to log in, they need a members “dashboard” page showing them all the content they have access to, they need to be able to consume the individual lessons on other pages…

On top of that, they need to be able to update new credit card info, make changes to their account settings, view their invoices and other things depending on what you want your members to be able to do in your site.

Instead of having to build all these pages, one by one yourself, we’ve now done all this work for you. You can use these templates to get your new membership site launched quickly.

These prebuilt templates make it easier for you to take full advantage of Memberium’s powerful features and understand what you can help you with in your membership site.

If you’re not using Memberium, you can get an idea of the potential types of pages you can include with your membership site or course through the examples included here.

Before we start, it’s important to note that the membership page templates shown throughout this article use the popular drag and drop page builder called Elementor.

We also have a set of similar looking page templates that can be used without any page builder.

If you want to make it easier to edit and add content to your WordPress site, we highly recommend using Elementor and the Elementor version of our page templates.

Building Your Membership Site

Getting your membership site or online course ready for launch can be stressful and tedious, we’re happy to announce these new example templates can help you come up with a working membership site quickly.

Because one size doesn’t fit all, we’ve come up with 24 different page templates to help you create all the main pages you need to run a membership site or online course. Even if you’re not using Memberium, you can look at these templates as examples of what you can easily add to your site on another platform. With that said, here’s an overview of all the page templates that we have available for you…

Your “Members Dashboard” or “Course Dashboard” Page

At the heart of every membership site lies a “members dashboard” page or “course dashboard” page.

This is the homepage a member sees after they log in. Where at a quick glance, they can see all of the content they have access to as a member.

Depending on how your membership site is setup, you can have this page display where a member last left off in their training, which courses they’ve completed so far and the ones they haven’t.

Here’s an example of one of the basic ‘members dashboard’ page. When the locked course is clicked on the right (the one that’s greyed out).

Here’s the different “Member Dashboard” page templates we give you…

• “Course Grid” / Ghost Block Page Template – Use When You’re Not Using Any LMS

If you’re selling one-off online courses, or a tiered membership program, you can also easily set this up to display the courses that a user doesn’t have access to or you can drip feed courses.

You can also include opportunities where members can upgrade their membership or purchase additional one off courses through their homepage.

Whether you’re using LearnDash, LifterLMS or you’re not using any Learning Management System at all, Memberium has a number of prebuilt page templates and shortcodes that make it easy to built this type of page for your site.

“Course Grid” / Ghost Block Page Template
Use When You’re Not Using Any LMS

If you’re not using any type of LMS plugin on your WordPress site (such as LearnDash or LifterLMS) we recommend you use this “Course Grid” page template to create your members dashboard page.

Here’s an example of the this page template that’s included for you. All you need to do is fill in the relevant information for each course and you can easily create a page just like this…

You can quickly show the courses that a member has access to based on the membership levels that they have. Likewise they can quickly see which sections they don’t have access to.

This page template uses the [membc_course-grid] custom shortcode to display each course. To list multiple courses on a single page you just repeat the shortcode with the correct details for the course.

“Course List” Ghost Block Page Template

Similar to the “Course Grid” page template, this “Course List” page template displays one course per row, instead of 3.

All you need to do is fill in the relevant information for each course and you can easily create a page just like this…

This page template uses the course list custom shortcode to display each course. You can repeat the shortcode to list multiple courses on a page. The page is fully responsive for mobile devices.

LearnDash – Using the “Course Grid Add-On” To Build Your Members Dashboard Page

If you’re using LearnDash, we recommend you use the Learndash “Course Grid” add-on for your members dashboard.

This is by far the easiest way to create your members home page.

Once you download and activated the LearnDash Course Grid plugin on your site, you just need to use the following shortcode on your site your course library will be ready.

Example shortcode to place on a WordPress page:

[memb_set_prohibited_action action=show]
[ld_course_list progress_bar='true' ribbon='false']

Here’s how this page will appear to the end user…

Adding an image for each course is added through that individual courses featured image section.

You can set this page up to…

• Display access to all the courses at once that are all included with a membership.
• Force members to have to complete courses in a sequential order.
• Display access only to the individual courses that a member has access to.
• Drip feed individual sections out individually over a certain amount of time.

LifterLMS – “Course Grid For LifterLMS”

If you’re using LifterLMS, you can use the Course Grid For LifterLMS to setup your members dashboard.

Students can see their current course progress, which courses they’ve completed, the ones they haven’t and the locked courses they don’t have access to.

Here’s what the LifterLMS page template looks like…

This page template uses the [membc_course-grid-lifterlms] custom shortcode that’s repeated on the page to list multiple courses.

If you’d prefer to display one LifterLMS course per row you can use the [membc_course-list-lifterlms] custom shortcode.

Individual Course Page Template

The “Individual Course” page template can be used to create your own individual course pages. This can be used to create your own course listing pages without having to use any LMS.

You can list any lessons associated with the course by creating a new WordPress menu for the individual course, and you can also easily edit your course image or description using elementor.

How do you add Lessons to the Course Menu section with this page template?

1. In the WordPress admin area go to Appearance> Menu
2. Then select “create a new menu”
3. Drag the individual lessons to the menu in the order you want to have them added within this course.
4. Name your menu with your course name.
5. Save Menu
6. Once saved, go back to your individual course template page and select “Edit With Elementor”
7. Click the “Lessons” section within the Elementor editor, then you can select the menu that you want to appear on the course page.

This makes it really easy to manage the lessons within an individual course and change the order they appear in.

To create multiple course pages using this same page, you can save it as an Elementor template that will allow you to clone it easily on a new page. Here’s how to do this with elementor.

Do you see that “About Your Teacher” section on the right? That’s a custom widget section you can use to display any widget on the page, or you can use the “About Your Teacher” example.

Individual Lesson Template

The “Individual Lesson” page template can be used to create your own individual lesson pages. This can be used to create your own lesson pages without having to use any LMS.

This is great to use with the “Individual Course” template that we just went over.

To create multiple lessons using this layout, we recommend saving it as an “Elementor Template”, then you can easily clone and create additional lesson pages using this same layout.

Here’s what it looks like…

To use the template you just need to copy in the embed code for your video, add an optional description, and any relevant lessons files (such as a PDF, Powerpoint or audio version of the lesson) and it’s good to go. Nice, right?

The lessons title is pulled in automatically by the page title and author name that’s set for the page.

If you’d like to include links to the next or previous lessons in the course you can update those links manually. Additionally if you’d like to add other custom content to your lesson you can do so easily with Elementor’s awesome drag and drop page builder.

If you’d like to create multiple lessons with this, you can save it as an “Elementor Template”, that allows you to easily clone it to create additional lessons using the same template.

Your Account Page Templates For Your Membership Site

Every membership site needs some type of “Your Account” page so your members or students can update their settings and profile.

We have two different “Your Account” page templates for you that are “plug and play”.

All the options are already all linked together for you and all the Memberium shortcodes are already added. We also have a second “Your Account” page template if you’re using the ‘Umbrella Accounts’ feature with Memberium.

“Your Account” Page Template With Payment and Billing Options Added

This page has everything included that’s typically needed on a “Your Account” page for any subscription type program or online course.

The page gives your members a central area where they can manage their billing related settings with Infusionsoft. They can add a new credit card if needed, view their past paid invoices, pay any past due invoices and manage their existing subscription.

Through the “Manage Your Subscription” link you can allow your members to self cancel and manage their own subscriptions.

If you’re running an online course and want to use this page template, you just need to delete the “Manage Your Subscription” link.

The great part is all the links on this page are ready to be used with the necessary Memberium shortcodes already added for you on the corresponding pages.

The members profile picture comes from Memberium’s gravatar shortcode. If the user has a Gravatar image associated with their email address, their image will show up as in the above example.

On this page members can also update their name, email and see their current membership level.

If you want to add any other relevant content to this page, adding anything is easy by editing the existing template and using the Elementor page builder.

“Your Account” Page Template To Use With Umbrella Accounts

If you offer group membership or corporate accounts inside of your membership site, you can use this template. The difference is the top right box links to pages that people can use

The “Invite and Add New Members” link allows someone to invite additional users to the site and can manage them through the other link.

Add/Update Credit Card Page Template

Allowing users to update a new credit card is an important part of any membership site. Especially when you want their subscription membership to rebill correctly.

This page template uses [memb_add_creditcard] shortcode.

Here’s a look at the credit card page template, your site will need an SSL certificate for this to work properly…

When a user updates a new credit card, you can set it up to automatically be used for any past due payments, apply an Infusionsoft tag / actionset or campaign goal.

Another thing we recommend doing is by using Infusionsoft’s billing triggers, you can send out automated reminders when a customer’s membership payment fails.

When this happens, it can be setup to send an email with an autologin link that redirects them to this page where they can update their new credit card details instantly.

Once a user updates card, you can have it collect the past due payment and assign that new card to the customer’s Infusionsoft subscription automatically. All of that happens on auto-pilot thanks to Infusionsoft. Pretty cool right??

You can also set up automated reminders to be sent out before a members card expires.

In short, you can put your entire payment failure and follow up process on auto pilot.

Invoices/ Billing History

When someone clicks the “View Your Past Invoices” link from the your account page, this is the page they’re sent to.

This page displays the members entire past billing history. Using this template you can display list of paid and unpaid invoices.

When a specific invoice is clicked, it will show up as an individual invoice with all the payment details included, this is covered in the next section below this.

This page uses [memb_list_invoices] shortcode to display the invoice history.

Show Receipt

When an individual invoice page is clicked, they’ll see an individual receipt/invoice.

Our ‘Show Receipt’ template gives them a printable invoice they can save. Here’s what a paid invoice looks like…

Here’s what an unpaid past due invoice looks like…

You can design and modify your invoice to include your own logo, Infusionsoft custom fields or other info. You can edit these settings in the WordPress admin area by going to: Memberium > Ecommerce > Invoices tab

This page template uses the [memb_show_receipt] shortcode and Memberium’s ecommerce invoice settings.

Manage Your Subscription

Want to allow your members to self cancel their own subscription through your membership site?

This page template allows your members to be able to cancel their subscription 24 hours a day / 7 days a week with just a click of a button.

You can set this up to either automatically cut off their access when cancelled or you can remove their access at the end of their current billing period.

Upsell / Upgrade Related Pages

Did you know can add Infusionsoft one click upsell offers to any WordPress site with Memberium?

There’s two “one click upsell” page templates we give you that make it easy to add an upsell to a membership site or online course.

One Click Upsell Template For Selling a Subscription Based Product + “One Off” Product Upsell Page Template

If you’re selling an Infusionsoft product that’s sold as one time fee, like an online course or eBook, we have a page template that allows offer this type of one click upsell offers inside of your Memberium site.

There’s also a second template that allows you to sell any subscription based products through a one click upsell.

Here’s a screenshot of what these pages look like. When a logged in customer clicks the “Buy Now” button, the order is instantly charged to their credit card that’s on file with them.

You can easily customize the headline, subheadline and description, CTA text on the button to say whatever you want.

You just need to configure the [memb_place_order] shortcode with the correct product details from your Infusionsoft app. For example the product ID or subscription ID, and then run a final test on your own before going live.

Standard Membership Pages (Login, Forgot Password, Register, Etc..)

Every membership site needs a login page, forgot password page and a few other core pages to be able to function as a membership site.

The new Memberium page templates come prebuilt with all of these things set up for you and working right out of the box.

They have all the Memberium shortcodes already added and are linked together. Added up all together, this can help save you a ton of time when you’re setting up a new membership site or course.

Here’s an overview of the pages in this group that are included for you…

Login Page

Here’s an example of our simple login page template.

See the image that says “Your Logo”?

When you use our Astra theme and Elementor version of our page templates, you just need to add your logo image once, and your logo is automatically added to 12+ page templates where the logo appears and gets added to your site’s header.

As a second option for a login page, there’s an alternate login template, where you can add a background image in the left column, that looks like this…

Forgot Password

Here’s the ready to use “forgot password” page template.

The template uses the [memb_send_password] shortcode to allow users to reset their password.

A quick side note, if you have Memberium set to locally store your password inside of WordPresss only, instead of storing it in Infusionsoft, meaning the Local Auth Only setting. You’ll need to use WordPress’ built in password reset feature.

Register Here or a Simple Sign Up Page for Free Members

Do you want to let people register for free for your membership site or online course?

The “Register Here” template makes it easy for you to do this.

You can use “free access” to a small part of your site as a lead magnet or as a way to get people interested in potentially joining your paid membership or course.

Here’s what the registration page looks to the end user…

You don’t need to setup any Infusionsoft webform for this. This registers users with the [memb_registration_form] shortcode, that can also generate a password automatically for the user when they submit the form.

You can change the shortcode to apply a specific Infusionsoft tag and trigger off an Infusionsoft campaign to welcome them to the site and follow up with about the next steps you want them to take.

If you want to add your own headline or add more content about what they get from signing up you can do so easily with Elementors page editor.

Thank You

A common page almost every website needs is a “Thank You” page.

To help make it easier for you, we included a simple thank you page template that includes the logged in users first name.

Here’s what it looks like…

This is the page a member gets redirected to after they update their credit card info, profile info or other settings that they can update through the other templates that we give you.

This thank you page template can be easily cloned and reused as individual thank you pages in your site. For example after someone opts in to a specific lead magnet or a page you can send new customers to after purchasing a specific product or upsell.

Reset Password For Logged In Members

No explanation needed here. This is the page that allows logged in members to change their password.

“Members Only” Excerpts and Other Templates

Members Only Excerpt

The “Members Only” page can be used as the default excerpt page for your membership site.

Meaning, when someone tries to visit a protected page or area of your site and they don’t have permission to view it, they’ll get redirected to this page that lets them know it’s for “members only” and shares how they can join.

You can change the “Learn More & Enroll Now” button to send these type of visitors to your sales page or a landing page.

The copy and link can be easily edited with Elementor. This will come set as the default excerpt for anyone who requests a free installation of Memberium.

Upgrade Your Membership

This template can be used if your membership site has multiple tiered membership levels inside of it.

When a member tries to access of higher level piece of content that they don’t have access to, you can redirect them to a page like this letting them know they’ll need to upgrade their membership to continue.

You can send the member to a sales page for the higher level program, or if they’re a paying customer already you could potentially redirect them to an upsell page to upgrade their membership.

Membership Deactivated Due to Payment Failure

Failed credit card payments are huge problems that every membership site owner has to deal with.

Memberium and Infusionsoft make it easy to cut off a members access automatically and send them to a page like this when they log in.

The button leads to the credit card update page and comes ready to use out of the box.

To automatically cut off a members access after their payment fails, you can use Infusionsoft’s billing triggers to apply the membership levels “PAYF” (Payment Failure) tag when a payment failure happens or whenever you decide that you want to have their access cut off.

Memberium will redirect the member to this page automatically when it’s set as you’re site’s “PAYF home page”.

This is set in the WP admin area under Memberium > Memberships, then click on a membership level name to access these settings where you can set the special custom excerpt pages.

Any new Memberium customers will have this all set up for free for them with a free install that anyone can get.

Membership Cancelled Excerpt

This template can be used to remind people that they’ve already cancelled their membership if they attempt to log in again in the future.

Setting this up is entirely optional and requires you to apply the membership “CANC” tag after a member cancels their membership.

Just like the previous example this uses Memberium’s “Special Pages” under the CANC Home page setting.

This page template displays a button letting them know how they can sign up again if they want to restore their access.

Payment Details Failure

This page can be used when a customer attempts to add a new credit card through the update CC page and isn’t able to be added. This rarely happens when certain details aren’t added correctly. This page will let them know they’ll need to re-add it.

This is all set up, linked together and working for you with our Memberium templates.

Umbrella Account Related Pages

Do you want to sell group memberships with your membership site? If you’re planning on it you’ll find these page templates really helpful.

The way this works is one person (aka “the parent”) buys a membership and they can then add up to a certain number of users (aka “child” users) under them as members.

You can set the number of child users that a parent user can add to whatever number you want.

Manage Your Added Members

This page allows the team leaders or parent user to manage the sub accounts they’ve added.

They can click on ‘Invite a New Member’ to add more users, see the existing users they’ve added on the same page and see how many spots they have left.

They can click the disconnect button to instantly remove a user added under their account. You can easily change the colors and styling of this page to match your branding with Elementor’s page editor.

Fun Fact: A single parent user can add up to 5,000+ child users with Memberium’s umbrella accounts feature. Do you have any ideas how you can leverage umbrella accounts for your business?

Add New User

When a parent user clicks the “Invite a New Member” button they get sent to this page where they can add additional members under them.

The form will only be visible to users who are considered the team leader/ or parent user.

You can also customize the form and add additional fields, depending on what you want the parent users to add, like a phone number, address, Infusionsoft custom fields and more.

Upload Your Files

Do you want to allow your members to upload files like assignments or required legal documents?

The Upload Your File page template allows user to upload document and store them to the user’s personal File Box on Infusionsoft. You can also trigger off an Infusionsoft goal or apply a specific Infusionsoft tag when they upload a document.

What Makes a Good Membership Site?

Planning out a full membership website or online course can often result in a huge spiderweb of outlined content because membership sites have a lot of interlocking parts.
